There are numerous eponymous fractures which are named after the people who first described their existence:

  • Bankart fracture – glenoid
  • Barton fracture – wrist
  • Bennett fracture – thumb
  • Bosworth fracture – ankle
  • Chance fracture – vertebral
  • Charcot joint – foot
  • Chopart fracture – foot
  • Colles fracture – wrist, etc.
